Wills Marquees Network Meeting
We never miss out on an opportunity to visit the Wills Marquees team at their HQ and couldn’t wait to make the journey over to Yorkshire for the annual Wills network meeting - an event that takes place at the end of each year and offers insight and support for the network of suppliers who provide Wills Marquees structures across the UK and further afield.
Nestled within the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, the Wills workshop is a hive of activity. Located in the centre of a farming community, their multi-function space is warm and welcoming. A design studio, workshop, office, storage unit and the central hub for all that create, manufacture, and construct the sensational Wills Marquees tents.
The annual meeting is a chance for the providers of Wills Marquees to catch up, gain insight into future products and to chat directly to the design team.
It is also a great opportunity to feed back to the team the experiences of our couples. This insight is vital in supporting the future of the Wills Marquees manufacturing and design work and puts our couples at the heart of what they do.
This consumer led manufacturing process is completely unique within the industry. It enables our structures to evolve with time - staying true to the distinct Wills aesthetic but always in keeping with the evolution of design trends.
We have already launched a handful of new Wills Marquees products for this year - read all about these here – and now we’re looking to expand our stock further!
New Products
With a trend of weddings taking place using multiple marquees, Wills have made a series of connecting ‘corridors’ to link two or more structures together. The covered walkways are a perfect way to enable your guests to move between multiple marquees, completely protected from the elements. They are particularly useful to connect the main marquee to either a ceremony tent or to a cloakroom incorporating covered loos.
For the ultimate celebration, they may also be used to connect a dining marquee to a second tent set up with a dance floor, bar and chill-out space and we feel that having two tents is a great way to retain a sense of intimacy in both.
Wills are also looking to put their ‘Mini Wills’ structures out on the market and we’re keen to invest! This series of mini marquees are a pavilion style 5m span and act as a perfect covering or shade for an outdoor bar, DJ booth or seating area.
They’re aesthetically in keeping with the larger Wills Marquees tents and we just love their shape and compact size!
